About Nicola’s Clients - ‘Creative Hearts’

My clients are people who feel more fulfilled in life when they are being creative and tend to feel like something’s missing with purely traditional forms of success. They want to develop their gifts and often have a desire to be of service in their communities. While they may not think of themselves as artists, they are all creative in some way, even if it’s been years since they cultivated their creativity.

Many of my clients are high-achieving women who, while coming from different backgrounds, share a number of common traits. I’ve reflected on those and put together a list, as I thought it might be helpful for you to see if you relate and see yourself reflected here. While not all of these traits apply to every client, they do all share a desire to be more self-aware and to nurture, prioritise and express their creativity.

Common traits of Creative Hearts.

Does this sound like you?

  • You like the idea of ‘living consciously & creatively.’

  • You feel restored by spending time in nature.

  • You are kind, compassionate and empathetic.

  • Even though you are compassionate toward others, you can find it challenging to be compassionate towards yourself.

  • You find creative expression brings you home to yourself.

  • You prefer deep conversations rather than small talk.

  • You may feel disillusioned by the corporate world.

  • You can be deeply impacted by criticism.

  • You find inspiration from embracing variety and love discovering new things.

  • You sometimes feel ‘different’ and want to understand yourself better.

  • You tend to prefer small groups to large, noisy crowds.

  • You value authenticity, integrity and genuineness

  • You need your life to be full of meaning and fulfilment and find it difficult to do things that don’t feel meaningful.

  • You tend to not value material possessions as the most important thing in life.

  • You are deeply moved by art, music, nature and beauty.

  • You can feel overwhelmed when you are tired or over-stimulated.

  • You care about living in alignment with your values.

  • You can sometimes feel like an imposter.

  • You might have a vigilant ‘inner critic’ (and maybe you’re a little perfectionistic).

  • You might describe yourself as an introvert or someone who thinks deeply.

  • You are naturally curious and inquisitive.

  • You want to live a purposeful life.

As far as personality traits, I often work with these Myser Briggs types: INFJ (I am one), ENFJ, INTJ, and ENFP.

My clients are also very often (almost always!) HSPs, even if they aren’t aware of the trait of High Sensitivity as yet. And being a High Sensations Seeker myself, I resonate with and can appreciate the gifts, challenges and delicate balance trying to take care of what can be the conflicting needs faced by HSP HSS Creative Hearts.

I spend my days having inspiring conversations and being in community with these wonderful people. Is it any wonder I love my work so much?
